Student Welfare And Co-Curricular Activates:
a. Student Health Programmes:
The Main Objectives of the student health programme are to help student to promote and maintain their own health, and to prevent and control the diseases by early detection and treatment.
Detailed medical examination was done for all new admissions. Other activates of the health office are periodical check-up, treatment of minor ailments, follow-up, immunization, individual counseling and guidance.
b. Students’ Activities :
Students Started the year with lot of enthusiasm and initiated activists at S.N.A. Unit level and National level. Brief accounts of activities are as follows;
Ø The session 2011-12 began with the celebration of Fresher’s party which was an expression of welcome to the new batch of B.Sc. (H) Nursing 1st year & master of nursing previous.
Ø The Students took active participation in celebrating the festive occasions in the college. This includes Independence Day celebration, Teachers’ Day Celebration, Onam Celebration, Diwali Celebration, and Christmas Celebration.
Ø The Zeal and enthusiasm of the students would also be seen in annual sports day and S.N.A Sports meet in which different nursing colleges participated in various competitions.
Ø Active student participation could be seen in General Body Meeting and Executive committee meeting where the students’ body discussed the problems which were promptly reported to the authority bringing about fruitful results.
Ø Students also participated in Essay writing, completions on life of Vivekanand which was held in Rama krishan Mission, Ashram Marg.
Ø An active participation of students in biannual conference which was held in Bangalore and they won 1st Prize in Health Education.
Ø The marks reserved for the semester’s work and year’s work for the written papers and practicals will be based on the internal assessment by teachers concerned.
Ø The internal assessment of the semester’s work and year’s work will be submitted to the principal by the end of the each semester before commencement of the examination and students will also be informed of their marks.
